Program Overview
Forward Living Group LLC provides independent shared housing for adults seeking stable and supportive living environments in Chicago.
Our housing is designed for individuals who are able to live independently but benefit from structured, affordable shared housing while transitioning toward long-term stability.
We commonly receive referrals for individuals transitioning from:
• Hospitals or rehabilitation programs
• Shelters or temporary housing programs
• Veterans support programs
• Behavioral health or community support programs
• Reentry or justice-involved programs
Forward Living Group also offers limited 30-day emergency placement options, subject to availability, for individuals needing immediate housing while transitioning between care settings.
Residents who require additional support may coordinate services through licensed home health care providers operating in the community.

Eligibility Criteria
To ensure a safe and respectful shared living environment, residents should be able to:
• Live independently without 24-hour medical supervision
• Manage their own medications if applicable
• Maintain basic personal care and hygiene independently
• Respect shared housing guidelines and community standards
• Maintain a stable and verifiable source of income
Accepted Income Sources
Residents may qualify if they have income from sources such as:
• SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
• SSDI (Social Security Disability Income)
• Veterans Benefits
• Housing assistance programs
• Other verifiable income sources

Rates start at $850 per month
Most residents pay between $850 – $1,200 per month
Our housing includes:
